Unlike some other Buschbeck masonry barbecue fireplaces, the Carmen Set is specifically designed for charcoal lumpwood or briquettes only. Due to the added weight of the side table during transportation, the inner double-skin hood had to be excluded from the design. This inner hood typically enables Buschbeck products to accommodate burning charcoal, wood, and even gas. However, for cooking purposes, the Buschbeck Carmen offers four adjustable cooking heights and features a heavy-duty chrome grill, providing ample space for grilling, ideal for large gatherings.

Buschbeck is the sole brand of masonry barbecue to meet the rigorous German TUV/GS safety standard, ensuring longevity and durability. These barbecue fireplaces often endure for many years; in Europe, it's not uncommon to find ones that are over two decades old. Maintenance is minimal; if the barbecue's appearance becomes weathered, simply use a jet wash to clean it down, preserving its appeal for years to come.
